Finance Intern

Position Objective:

Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. (PCL) is looking for a dynamic Finance Intern to join our team this November for a 6-month term. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and will support multiple finance-related tasks, contribute to process improvements and approach special projects with an innovative mindset.

What You’ll Do:

• Assist with daily finance tasks including controlling, reporting, and month-end activities
• Create templates that streamline reporting and improve efficiency
• Be a key contact for finance inquiries from Porsche Centres and vendors
• Support the analysis of strategic initiatives and innovation projects
• Assist with internal controls testing and ad-hoc projects as needed
• Actively identify and implement process improvement opportunities for automation to enhance efficiency
• Maintain updates and change logs for finance workflows
• Process invoices, create purchase requisitions, and maintain workflow updates
• Perform general administrative tasks, including documenting meeting minutes, as well as ad-hoc administrative duties as required.

'Experience
(Job and Industry):

• 1-2 years of related experience in a corporate business environment
• Experience utilizing digital technologies and process automation for data analysis
• Prior relevant internship or work experience in an automotive subsidiary is considered an asset.

Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office 365 Apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Experience with VBA and Office Scripts is highly valued
• Experience with Power Automate and/or equivalent digital tools an asset
• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy of all work
• Exemplary organizational skills
• Strong communication skills for effective cross-departmental collaboration
