Data Visualization - Junior Consultant (f/m/d)

As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for transforming complex data sets into visually appealing and actionable insights using Microsoft Power BI. You will collaborate closely with clients to understand their data requirements and provide innovative solutions using Power BI. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Customer Interaction: Interact with clients to understand their data analytics needs, gather requirements, and present solutions effectively
• Monitoring: Monitor and maintain existing Power BI solutions, ensuring data accuracy and system stability
• Development: Develop, test, and deploy Power BI and data solutions that meet customer requirements
• Performance Optimization: Optimize data models and queries for improved performance and responsiveness
• Solution Security: Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations
• Database and ETL Knowledge: Work with various databases and data sources to extract, transform, and load data into Power BI

Must haves:  

• Power BI Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Power BI features, including DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service
• Data Modelling: Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and best practices (data de/normalization, keys, entities, relationships, etc.) and of SQL development practices
• Data Warehousing: Familiarity with data warehousing principles and practices (attributes, data marts, data warehouse types, facts and dimensions)
• Performance Optimization: Experience in optimizing Power BI solutions for speed and efficiency (Tabular Editor, DAX Optimizer, DAX Studio, ALM Toolkit, etc.)
• Solution Security: Knowledge of implementing security measures within Power BI (role-based security, workspace security, etc.)
• Database Knowledge: Proficiency in working with various databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, Oracle, AWS Data Stack etc.) to extract and manipulate data
• Cloud Knowledge: Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS and their integration with Power BI
• Automation and Orchestration: Familiarity with automation tools (Power Apps, Power Automation) and a firm understanding of data transport concepts (pipelines, dataflows, etc.)

Nice-to-have:

• Microsoft Fabric, OpenAI, Python, Power Platform, OneLake, other Power BI alternatives (Tableau, etc.), Jira exposure

• Start: by arrangement -  always on the 1st and 15th of the month
• Working hours: full-time (40h); 27 vacation days
• Employment contract: Unlimited

• Language skills: Fluency in written and spoken English; Nice to have German
• Flexibility & willingness to travel
• Other: a valid work permit
