Business Intelligence Manager

Position overview

We are hiring a Business Intelligence Lead for a great opportunity to work with an iconic car brand. This position will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of our BI solutions using MicroStrategy. This role will involve working closely with various departments to ensure that data-driven insights are effectively utilized to support business objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in BI, exceptional analytical skills, and a deep understanding of MicroStrategy tools and technologies.

Roles & responsibilities

BI Strategy and Development:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of BI solutions using MicroStrategy.
  • Develop and implement BI strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across all BI platforms.

 

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Manage and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the BI team.

 

MicroStrategy Expertise:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for MicroStrategy, providing guidance and support to the team.
  • Develop complex reports, dashboards(dossiers), RDS, and visualizations to support business needs.
  • Optimize and tune MicroStrategy applications for performance and scalability.
  • Assist with the administration of MicroStrategy in the MCE environment.
  • Expertise with Transaction services.

 

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for BI processes, reports, and dashboards.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders

 

Project Management:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of BI projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and develop mitigation strategies.

QualificationsQualifications

Qualifications

Education:  Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics is preferred or comparable experience

 

Certification:  MicroStrategy 2021 Certified

 

Skills:

  • 7 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with MicroStrategy, including architecture, administration, and development.
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling and database design.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience using JIRA and Agile Project Management software.
  • Able to work in a global, multicultural environment.
  • Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available services.
  • Critical thinking/problem solving.
  • Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Experience in the Automotive and/or Financial Industries is a plus
  • German language capability a plus
  • MBA is preferred

 

Percentage of required travel: 5%

Schedule/Shift: Hybrid, 8-5 Eastern

 

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
