Workshop Support Intern

Position overview

Porsche Cars North America Workshop Support Team has a 30+ hour per week, 6-month internship opportunity. The internship is designed to promote both career development and functional expertise for the intern, as well as to complete project related and day-to-day support for the department. This internship has the possibility to be extended up to an additional two 6-months periods (18 months total).

The PCNA Workshop Support Team includes the following business units: Special Tools & Equipment program, Diagnostic Tester Support, Workshop Media, Owners Media, Tech Live Look (augmented reality), and 3D printing.

TasksTasks

Roles & responsibilities

  • Assist AfterSales Technical and Workshop Support teams with the achievement of organizational objectives.
  • Gathering, entering and analyzing data, creating dashboards and presentations.
  • Collect Service and Diagnostic Media issues as reported by Porsche Centers.
  • Direct communication with Porsche Centers via PRMS ticket, email, phone or in person.
  • Analyze Workshop Media Feedback cases.
  • Work with PCNA and/or PAG to solve reported issues.
  • Assist with the interaction of various departments and external vendors.
  • Ad-hoc administrative tasks and AfterSales projects.

Required Skills:

  • Highly self-motivated with excellent independent time management

  • Professional, pleasant, and customer service oriented disposition

 

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Recent graduate or in process of obtaining a higher education degree or comparable study.
  • Training, coursework, and/or experience in automotive, engineering or transportation.

 

Preferred skills include:

  • Basic/entry level German language familiarity.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office 365 software, especially PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to analyze data and develop concise reports; Excel, SQL, MS Access, SAP-BW/BO

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
