The Role

As a (Senior) Consultant/Scrum Master in our Digital Core & Technology Transformation team at MHP, you will play a key role in advising and guiding our U.S. clients on strategic decision-making across their value chains. This role demands a deep understanding of the challenges and trends in mobility, manufacturing, or automotive industries, familiarity with cutting-edge technology solutions, and the ability to develop transformative strategies.

 

Your responsibilities will include defining processes, methods, tools, and organizational structures to help clients navigate strategic, organizational, and functional challenges. By meeting clients where they are, you will uncover their real needs, problems, and challenges, delivering tailored solutions that enable them to shape a better future.

 

The ideal candidate will be a servant leader with a passion for agile methodologies and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. You will play a key role in guiding our teams through the Scrum framework, ensuring effective implementation of agile practices, and driving continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate Scrum Events: Organize and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring they are productive and focused.
  • Coach Teams: Mentor and coach team members on agile principles and practices, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Remove Impediments: Identify and help resolve any obstacles that may be hindering the team’s progress, whether they are internal or external to the team.
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration: The candidate has the ability to work with people from diverse professional backgrounds (incl. engineering, IT, product development, management, finance, etc.), facilitate productive workshops, and build/maintain relationships.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between the team and external stakeholders, facilitating clear and effective communication regarding project goals, progress, and challenges.
  • Performance Metrics: Track and report on key agile metrics to assess team performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation, feedback, and the adoption of best practices.
  • Training and Workshops: Organize and conduct training sessions and workshops for team members and stakeholders to enhance their understanding of agile methodologies.

QualificationsQualifications

Required:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Professional Certified Scrum Master or equivalent agile certification (e.g., CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, etc.).
  • 2-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within an agile environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Scrum framework and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
  • Experience with agile project management tools.

 

Preferred:

Education:

  • Graduate degree in complementary field to your bachelor’s degree or MBA.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in the automotive, mobility, or manufacturing sectors
  • History of a successful PLM implementation, playing a key role
  • New Product Introduction experience
  • Relevant PLM skills assessments: 3DX, TC, Windchill
  • Understanding of SIPOC methodology
  • Change Management, Configuration Management, and Variant Management of complex products (CM Certification)

 

Percentage of required travel: up to 100%; generally, 50% with periods of increased/decreased travel based on project demands and client needs.

 

 

Physical requirements:

  • This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while traveling in a car or airplane.

The salary range for this role is $95,000-$105,000. However, it is important to note that at MHP, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. MHP reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
