IT Systems Intern
Position overview
During this internship, the intern will work on several projects, mostly acting as interface between IT and various other departments. The field of activity will be determined in the initial phase of the internship, based on personal preferences and the status of the active projects. The responsibilities will range from Reporting, Project Management, Business Process Modeling and Optimization of Processes to Website Management and light Software Development. This internship offers challenging tasks as well as a high level of responsibility and in return demands very good organizational skills and a high degree of commitment.

Roles & responsibilities
- Ensure consistent, concise and accurate communications across team members
- Meet set milestones for the projects assigned to him/her
- Improve business acumen

- Work cooperatively with IT and Business colleagues to successfully meet project milestones
- Understand business processes and develop business process models to document required steps
- Directly oversee activities on several small projects
- Complete other tasks as assigned
- EasyBI Ticket Reporting - The intern will be responsible for generating quarterly and ad-hoc reports out of the Jira ticketing tool. These reports are presented to sister company leadership to show compliance with service agreement service levels. Additional reports and presentations will be developed for review by IT management to show technician performance in completing incoming tickets.
- Change Request Tracking - The intern will pull Change Request reports from Jira and update ticket contents based upon business user feedback. These reports are reviewed by senior leadership for the determining of IT prioritization of work tasks.
- Data Integrity - The intern will be paired with a business analyst to review and update system data. This may include the refreshing of old data or the documentation of current system data flows.
- Ensure all assigned projects conform to Porsche standards including: vendor selection, vendor management, technology & development standards, critical success factors, status & management reporting, information security, data protection, financial accounting and controls.
- Ensure IT management is updated on local IT status on assigned support and project related activity.

Qualifications
Education:
Must be within or just completed a 4-year Degree program. The program should have a focus in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or similar discipline.
Experience:
Past internships in Information Technology is preferred.

Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
The hourly range for this role is $18-$20.
