Our Digital Core & Technology team, with headquarters in Atlanta, shapes the future of mobility and manufacturing along the engineering value chain and their ecosystem. The team streamlines our technological competencies, methods, IT solutions, and data to build and optimize our client’s strategic growth. We always emphasize improving the integration of technology across the product lifecycle throughout the entire value chain to facilitate the perfect workflow for each engineer and downstream processes.

The Role

A senior project manager will have the experience and skills expected of that profession, with hands-on knowledge of the engineering, design, manufacturing, and quality fields with a proven track record of leading large IT and OCM projects and teams to successful completion. We’re looking for someone who can communicate effectively across diverse departments and provide coaching and training as needed. We desire a candidate who can problem-solve, pays close attention to detail, and can navigate internal procedures as well as customer procedures while balancing multiple active projects utilizing internal and contract resources.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with stakeholders and reports to them on a regular basis
  • Ensures projects remain on schedule, within budget and in scope
  • Creates, manages and distributes project communications, including charters, schedules and budgets
  • Leads team through execution of project
  • Assists in business development, such as proposals, RFPs and estimates
  • Monitors and reports on project’s progress and performance
  • Plan, schedule and track projects and staffing
  • Establishes key metrics, KPIs
  • Develop project controls and risk management procedures
  • Responsible for training, managing and motivating team members
  • Resolves technical and operational issues

QualificationsQualifications

Education:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, project management, business management, or a related field is preferred.
  • However, candidates with 10+ years of relevant experience in PLM project management, especially with Siemens Teamcenter, may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • A graduate degree is preferred but not required

Experience:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of project management experience in product lifecycle management (PLM), with a focus on Siemens Teamcenter, or a combination of senior roles in large PLM implementations and project management totaling at least seven years.
  • Excellent communication, management, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships.
  • Proficient in running effective project meetings, workshops, and conferences.
  • Business process mapping
  • Business requirement analysis
  • In-depth knowledge of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies, with relevant certifications preferred.
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of PLM tools and their integration with enterprise-level systems such as ERP, MES, and CRM.
  • Strong analytical skills and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Experience managing PLM implementation projects, including configuration, customization, and integration related to Siemens Teamcenter.

Preferred Experience:

  • Project management experience specifically with Siemens Teamcenter implementations, including configuration, customization, and integration.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • SAFe certification.
  • Industry-specific experience in sectors such as automotive, aerospace, or manufacturing.

Travel:

  • This position requires frequent travel, typically Monday through Friday, with occasional stays of up to two weeks on-site, depending on project demands.
  • While overseas travel is unlikely, candidates should be prepared for international travel within North America.
  • Flexibility to adapt to travel schedules and work remotely when not on-site is essential.

 Percentage of required travel: up to 100%

Physical requirements:

  • This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time while traveling in a car or airplane.

The salary range for this role is $130,000-$145,000. However, it is important to note that at MHP, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. MHP reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
