Position overview
The E/E Vehicle Build Up & Diagnosis Technician is responsible for cross-sectional updates at Complete Vehicle level within Verification and Validation (V&V) activities, according to Porsche's proprietary testing systems and methodologies. The vehicles descend from Porsche's development process and reflect the current quality and development levels of the corresponding model ranges. As the vehicles mature, it is necessary to update the vehicles, especially with regards to the software and hardware, to ensure that any findings and/or complaints occurred are arising from the latest, released versions and are thus relevant. The main task is to perform the Complete Vehicle updates including the corresponding communication, prioritization, assessments and reporting of the process-related activities to keep the vehicles in a roadworthy condition. This also includes documentation and communication of anomalies, complaints, findings and performed activities.
Roles & responsibilities
- Timeliness performance and execution of E/E architecture related work orders and update requirements, according to development stages in Hardware and Software
- Monitor and update E/E architecture stages by analyzing development maturity level based on various sensors, including E/E architectural teams worldwide and repetitive, cross-departmental failures/findings
- Identify required updates, obtain required hardware and software from counterparts
- Collaborate with PAG and PEG Departments responsible for Complete Vehicle E/E architecture to facilitate and expedite road- and validation worthiness
- Perform root cause analysis utilizing tools and software, such as Vector CANape, Vector CANoe, ETAS Measure Data Analyzer and other data acquisition means
- Analyze functionality and summarize results from static testing and from validation test drives
- Collaboration with stakeholders of PAG and PEG worldwide to strengthen synergetic approaches and cooperation
- Support in coordination of Analytics and Workshop Team for Complete Vehicle
- Creation of department and project relevant documents, reports, error analyses, statistics and its process documentation
- Actively work on process development and continuous improvement
- Operational coordination of work order management in a supportive function for the Project Management
- Other duties as assigned
Percentage of required travel: 10%
Schedule/Shift: regular business hours
The salary range for this role is $90,000 to $120,000 per year. However, it is important to note that at Porsche compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset.
Porsche reports compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

Physical requirements
- Comfortable with physical exertion for 3 - 5 hour intervals
- Comfortable standing and walking for 3 - 5 hour intervals
- Ability to travel long distances in aircraft or via automobile (5+ hours)
- This job operates in an automotive workshop and office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, cameras, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, automotive parts at operational temperature and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job site can be loud.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, sit, stand, move, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift.

Qualifications
Required qualifications include:
- Minimum requirement is a certification as an Automotive E/E Technician and three+ years work experience in fields related to Automotive E/E Technologies
- Three+ years of Automotive Industry experience in an E/E Architecture Flasher or related role
- Expert knowledge of Complete Vehicle E/E Architecture and Automotive Technologies
- Expert knowledge with associated diagnostic tools to analyze problems on E/E architecture level
- Excellent analytical skills and keen attention to detail
- Strong communication skills; ability to present complex subject matter to a wide range of audiences
- Proficiency with planning and scheduling work orders
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment
Preferred qualifications include:
- Expert knowledge with Porsche's E/E Architecture and update, flashing and coding procedures
- Experience with Porsche's proprietary testing systems and methodologies is a plus, such as PIDT, PUDiS, PPN, FAZIT, Cluu, etc.
- Extensive work experience and qualifications with Automotive High-Voltage systems and technologies
- German speaking
- Confident to work in an intercultural and interdisciplinary environment
- Ideal candidates are tenacious, persistent, well-organized, flexible to adapt to various forms of challenges, process oriented and work well within a group
