Position Overview

The Porsche Track Experience Intern will support the Porsche Track Experience Manager in the day-to-day operations, planning, and execution of PTX programs at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Alabama and Laguna Seca in Monterey, California. This internship provides hands-on exposure to motorsport event management, vendor coordination, marketing, and program analysis, with a primary focus on financial and administrative support. Core responsibilities include processing invoices, creating and managing purchase requisitions and orders, assisting with forecasting and accruals, and routing RFAs and contracts for signature. The intern will also contribute to budget tracking, procurement, fleet management, event planning, and marketing activities, including program sales and communications. Working closely with PCNA departments, vendors, and track partners, this position plays an important role in driving efficiencies, enhancing profitability, and delivering world-class customer experiences. This is a six-month internship with the possibility for extension.

The hourly range for this role is $19/hr-$21/hr.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Finance – Process invoices, manage purchase requisitions and orders, track budgets, support forecasting and accruals, and assist with P&L projections
  • Contracts & RFAs – Create, route, and track RFAs and contracts through review, approval, and signature
  • Marketing & Communications – Support collateral development, material ordering, social media activities, and advertising initiatives
  • Fleet & Logistics – Manage PTX fleet including vehicle scheduling, logistics, and updates related to arrivals, retirements, or production delays
  • Event Planning – Assist in planning and executing PTX programs and PCNA national events such as Porsche Parade, Rennsport Reunion, and Amelia Island Concours
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Liaise with PCNA departments, vendors, and track partners to advance program goals, drive efficiencies, and enhance profitability

General Information:

  • Must meet 6 months commitment to Internship Program
  • Hybrid work: 5 days/week; 3 in-office days; 2 remote days with the ability to come in-office additional days
  • Location of Headquarters: Carson, California
  • Compensation: The hourly range for this role is $19/hr-$21/hr.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to work effectively and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.

Experience (Job and Industry):

  • Finance background strongly preferred with coursework or practical experience in accounting, budgeting, or financial analysis
  • Experience with invoicing, processing, and payment systems
  • Exposure to project management practices, including task tracking, milestone planning, or cross-functional collaboration
  • Event planning, logistics, or marketing support experience is a plus
  • Interest in the automotive or motorsport industry strongly preferred; Porsche product knowledge a plus
