Porsche Engineering Romania is currently looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our Connectivity department.

We would like you to be part of our digital future. Work in international projects with colleagues in worldwide locations. Contribute with your testing knowledge in different areas of activity for shaping the sports car of the future.

What you will do:

  • You create and implement test cases for functional, performance and stress testing, according to the functional requirements
  • You participate in brainstorming sessions to determine the best methods for testing new features
  • You analyze and test specific car-to-cloud or car-to-car systems
  • You research new methods of testing innovative solutions
  • You also support testing scenarios such as: new functionality that is not ready for automation, deprecated legacy code not worth the expense of automating or exploratory testing to determine if more automation is needed
  • You identify and act on opportunities to improve the testing processes through automation
  • You manually perform specific test cases where automation is not feasible to apply
  • You review and validate technical documentation
  • You record software issues and notify discrepancies
  • You participate in car test drives to test new software features or systems
  • You analyze the results of the test reports and identify the root cause of the discovered failed tests


  • You have successfully completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or an equivalent education
  • Ideally, you have at least 2 years of experience working with: Python programming language, Linux systems, Vector software tools
  • You have basic knowledge of automotive electronics and communication protocols such as CAN, CANFD, FlexRay and Ethernet
  • You have practical experience in automated software testing
  • You are an analytical thinker and have a problem-solving attitude
  • You speak English very well, and German language is considered a plus
  • You are an excellent team player with a proactive attitude and a detail-oriented way of working
  • You are flexible and willing to travel abroad/domestic, whenever it is required
