We are currently looking for a Vehicle System Engineer to join the team in Romania.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of automotive systems—including chassis, powertrain, drivetrain, and power electronics—and will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving customer-reported issues. This role requires effective use of internal databases and ticketing software, thorough documentation of technical work, and close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- You will analyze and resolve customer issues related to vehicle systems (chassis, powertrain, drivetrain, power electronics, etc.)
- You will use diagnostic tools, vehicle data, and technical documentation to identify root causes
- You will manage and respond to support tickets using internal ticketing software
- You will communicate effectively with customers to gather information and provide updates
- You will document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and technical findings in the knowledge base
- Furthermore, you will maintain accurate records of support cases and technical interventions
- You will work closely with engineering, software, and product teams to escalate and resolve complex issues
- You will coordinate with external partners and suppliers when needed to support issue resolution
- You will provide feedback to improve vehicle systems and support processes
- You will participate in team reviews and contribute to technical training materials
- You will collaborate with international project teams
QualificationsQualifications
- You have successfully completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent education
- Ideally, you have previous experience in automotive development, focusing on cross-sectional functions
- You have a good understanding of vehicle systems and components
- You have work experience with diagnostic tools and ticketing systems (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow).
- You have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Training/certification in systems engineering are considered a plus
- You have excellent communication and documentation abilities
- You speak German and English fluently
- You’re a team player with a service-oriented working style, and as a self-confident person, you always have an eye for the essentials
- You are flexible and willing to travel abroad/domestic, whenever it is required
