Position overview

Porsche Engineering Services North America Internship opportunities are designed to promote both career development and functional expertise for the intern, as well as to complete project-related and day-to-day support for the department. We are looking for ambitious students seeking to make an impact on complete vehicle projects in a fast-paced industry.

As an Intern in the Complete Vehicle Department, you will support our engineering and testing team in the validation of Porsche vehicles for the U.S. market. You will gain hands-on experience in vehicle testing, data analysis, and project coordination.

The hourly range for this role is $19/hr-$21/hr.  

 

Roles & responsibilities

  • Supporting the planning, execution, and documentation of vehicle tests (durability, performance, environmental, and functional tests)
  • Support conducting automotive pre-series testing operations, focusing on new technologies and features
  • Assisting with vehicle instrumentation and data acquisition systems
  • Analyzing measurement data and preparing test reports
  • Participating in vehicle evaluations and technical reviews
  • Supporting cross-functional coordination with development teams in Germany
  • Assisting with workshop and logistics activities related to test vehicles
  • Support Department Management and Project Lead creating reports

QualificationsQualifications

Education

  • Ongoing studies in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to operate independently
  • Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality (integrity)
  • Teamwork – ability to positively interact with all levels of the organization
  • High quality standards and high accuracy
  • Service oriented and compassionate
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Fluent in English (German language skills are a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license
