Position overview

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead and oversee all daily accounting operations across our U.S. and Canadian Financial Services portfolio, currently managed through the Defi Servicing platform. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of cash management and portfolio accounting processes across both regions.

We are looking for a proven expert in process optimization and automation to spearhead the transformation of manual workflows into streamlined, integrated automated solutions that enhance accuracy, scalability, and operational agility.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all accounting procedures within the PFS U.S. and Canadian portfolio system, including oversight of Defi Servicing and preparation of reclassification journal entries for general ledger maintenance
  • Direct daily cash accounting operations for both U.S. and Canadian Financial Services entities, including monthly servicer settlements, credit facility renewals, and execution of ABS cash transactions.
  • Supervise daily accounting processes across a diverse portfolio of lease and retail loan customer accounts.
  • Manage daily cash roll-forward activities for PFS and PFSC, ensuring accuracy and transparency.
  • Lead daily and monthly cash reconciliations between Defi Servicing, SAP and bank statements, resolving discrepancies and maintaining audit readiness.
  • Provide insightful analysis of account activity and variances to support decision-making and financial integrity.
  • Oversee complex account reconciliations, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal controls.
  • Drive automation initiatives, converting manual processes into efficient, technology-enabled workflows that support long-term growth.
  • Support accurate and timely financial closes, including preparation and review of complex journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Lead audit support efforts, including internal and external securitization audits and financial statement audits, ensuring timely and thorough documentation.
  • Develop a high-performing team by coaching members to take ownership of processes and procedures, uphold a 48-hour SLA for all requests, actively engage in professional development and training, and effectively balance workloads to minimize overtime and ensure sustainable performance.

QualificationsQualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA required

 

Experience:

  • 8 to 10 years of professional Accounting experience
  • 3 to 5 years of prior supervisory experience required
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Macros
  • Lease and Loan servicing software experience preferred
  • Extensive experience with ERP system (SAP is a plus)
  • SQL/Microstrategy experience preferred

  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact initiatives under tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate, operating effectively both independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Comfortable navigating fast-paced environments, with a track record of delivering results under pressure.
  • Extensive experience with financial systems and data flows, including system integration and automation opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in leading accounting projects, driving process improvements and aligning outcomes with strategic goals.
  • Strong leadership presence, with the ability to mentor teams, foster accountability, and champion a culture of operational excellence.
  • Expertise in process automation, with hands-on experience identifying manual workflows and implementing technology-driven solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.

 

Percentage of required travel: 0-5%

Schedule/Shift: May be required to work extended hours and/or weekends as business requires, particularly during closing activities

 

The salary range for this role is $130,000-$150,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
