SAP EWM (MFS) - Senior Consultant (f/m/d)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SAP EWM Functional Consultant with MFS expertise to lead the design and implementation of automated warehouse solutions leveraging Material Flow System (MFS) capabilities. This role will focus on advanced automation integration within SAP Extended Warehouse Management, tightly integrated with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP, and external automation systems such as conveyors, ASRS, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment.

This role is best suited for a consultant who has worked in highly automated warehouse environments and understands both the functional EWM configuration and the technical integration layer of MFS and PLC communication. 

• Lead end-to-end implementations of EWM with Material Flow System (MFS) integration.
  • Design and configure:Warehouse structure and activity areas
  • Storage control and process-oriented storage control (POSC)
  • Layout-oriented storage control (LOSC)
  • Handling Unit (HU) management
  • Wave management and labor management
• Configure and support EWM MFS components, including:
  • Communication channels (TCP/IP, PLC interfaces)
  • Telegram configuration and queue management
  • Routing and conveyor logic
  • Resource management for automated equipment
• Design high-availability and performance-optimized MFS architecture.
• Integrate MFS with ASRS (Automate Storage & Retrieval Systems), Conveyor and sortation system and robotics
• Provide solution documentation including functional specifications and test scripts. 

• 8+ years of SAP experience with at least 5+ years in EWM.
• Minimum 2–3 full lifecycle EWM MFS integrations.
• Strong configuration expertise in core EWM processes (inbound, outbound, internal movements).
• Strong expertise in Storage control (POSC/LOSC), HU management, Queue and resource management, RF framework
• Strong client-facing and workshop facilitation skills 

Nice to have:

• Experience in highly automated distribution centers (high-bay warehouses, pharma, chemical, retail, automotive).
• Knowledge of ABAP debugging for MFS troubleshooting.
• Exposure to SAP Event Management or real-time tracking integrations.
• SAP EWM certification.
• Experience with non-SAP WCS/WMS integration.
