Node.js Backend Engineer with DevOps Experience - Senior Consultant (f/m/d)

• Develop backend plugins and platform extensions based on Backstage.io.
• Build and enhance self‑service workflows, API/service catalog integrations, and Golden Paths.
• Implement API interfaces, service models, and Backstage backends (Node.js, TypeScript).
• Integrate external systems (GitHub, AWS, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, security tools).
• Design and operate CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Argo, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
• Contribute to Infrastructure‑as‑Code automation (Terraform, AWS CDK) and environment provisioning.
• Ensure security, compliance, and observability (logging, metrics).
• Collaborate within SAFe ARTs with architects, platform teams, POs, and domain teams.

• Min 5 years of project experience with Node.JS/Typescript and AWS;
• Solid DevOps expertise (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, GitOps, IaC);
• Experience with cloud environments, ideally AWS;
• Experience working in SAFe or similar agile structures;
• Experience with software templates / Golden Paths;
• Experience with security tooling (SonarQube, BlackDuck, IAM policies);
• Ideally experience with Backstage.io (plugin development, catalog, scaffolder, integrations);
• Ideally experience in building Developer Portals;
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field is an advantage

• Start: by arrangement -  always on the 1st and 15th of the month
• Working hours: full-time (40h); 27 vacation days
• Employment contract: CIM, Unlimited
• Line of work: Consulting
• Language skills: Fluency in written and spoken English; German is a plus
• Flexibility & willingness to travel
• Other: a valid work permit
