SAP EWM ABAP Senior Developer – Remote or hybrid (Mexico)

The EWM ABAP Senior Consultant is expected to deliver high-quality development and technical consulting services within SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) environments. This role plays a key part in designing, developing, and optimizing SAP solutions, while contributing to the growth of our SAP Supply Chain capabilities and ensuring excellence in delivery for our clients.

This position requires a strong analytical mindset, the ability to work independently with a high level of accountability, and a hands-on approach to technical execution. The consultant will collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable and efficient SAP solutions. Building strong client relationships and supporting business growth initiatives are also key aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement SAP EWM solutions using ABAP on HANA
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and scalable solutions
• Perform code development, testing, integration, and performance optimization
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, technical guidelines, and best practices
• Conduct technical analysis, estimations, and solution design
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., MM, SD, EWM) to ensure seamless integration
• Support and optimize inbound/outbound interfaces (ALE/EDI, IDocs, RFCs)
• Perform debugging, performance tuning, and system optimization using tools such as SQL Trace and Runtime Analysis
• Contribute to technical documentation, reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Support ongoing system improvements and enhancements in S/4HANA and ECC environment

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development
• Proven experience working with SAP EWM development and processes
• Strong experience with ABAP Reports, ABAP Objects, OO ALV, Adobe Forms, Function Modules, BADIs, BAPIs, BOPF
• Experience with SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA (ABAP on HANA)
• Solid experience in debugging, performance tuning, and transport management
• Experience integrating SAP systems via IDocs, ALE/EDI, RFCs
• Experience working in full-cycle SAP implementations or support projects

Nice-to-have:

• SAP certification in ABAP or EWM
• Experience with OData services
• Knowledge of qRFC, MFS, or advanced EWM functionalities
