Position overview

The Market Insights & Strategy Intern supports the operation and development of multiple customer projects for Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA). Reporting to the Manager, Market Strategy and Insights this internship will focus on strengthening their market research and data analysis background as well as gaining insight into the Porsche buyers mindset. This intern will learn different market research methodologies and techniques, collaborate effectively on local and global research projects, and utilize the Porsche Advisors Club to generate greater insights and knowledge of the business and brand.

The hourly range for this role is $18-$20

 

Roles & responsibilities

Primary responsibilities:

  • Support multiple market research projects and activities simultaneously utilizing the customer research panel
  • With the guidance of the Market Insights Analyst, manage and update the customer research panel database on an ongoing basis
  • Support with the development of insightful surveys and questionnaires
  • Analyze customer feedback and survey results
  • Support all Porsche departments in the development, implementation and creation of effective market research programs aligned with the overall Porsche customer and business strategies
  • Support the Market Strategy and Insights team with all US research activities and programs
  • Identify potential vendors and technologies for future research projects
  • Create, field, and analyze customer surveys through Qualtrics
  • Support the Market Strategy and Insights team with any development needs; including our internal Porsche Center intranet and reporting platform
  • Support the Market Strategy and Insights team with reporting management and data analysis

QualificationsQualifications

Qualifications

Education:

  • B.A. / B.S. degree or higher in a discipline related to marketing, data analytics, or business (completed or in progress)

 

Experience:

  • 1+ years experience in market research, preferably for an OEM, agency or service provider to the automotive industry
  • 1+ years experience in basic market research techniques, such as running crosstabs, coding verbatim, etc.
  • Experience managing databases preferred
  • Understanding of various market research methodologies, including quantitative and qualitative techniques (i.e. focus groups, usability testing, conjoint, etc.)
  • Proven ability with comprehensive results analysis and statistical disciplines.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience using Qualtrics, experience managing Qualtrics Directory strongly preferred
  • CRM background strongly preferred

 

Skills:

  • Strong analysis skills with the ability to prepare, analyze and explain data and research results
  • Strong eye for detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with large data sets in Excel, knowledge of Pivot Tables strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of PowerPoint required
  • Polished presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively to senior management, external companies, consultants and customers
  • Experience with SPSS or other statistical software required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects with varying deadlines

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
