Position overview
The Sales Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in Sales, as part of the Planning & Reporting team, overseeing the entire order process, starting from the moment the vehicle is configured to its handover to the customer. Primary responsibility will be to ensure a seamless and efficient vehicle order process. This entails maintaining databases and tools, closely monitoring vehicle orders, and providing continuous training to importers on our order management systems. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for diligently tracking orders throughout the supply chain, ensuring smooth logistics operations and timely payment for vehicles.
Roles & responsibilities
- Spearhead the vehicle order process and ensure seamless tracking of orders throughout the supply chain, diligently following up on orders and ensuring accurate data entry within strict deadlines.
- Establish and maintain direct communication channels with importers and the headquarters in Germany to address any inquiries pertaining to vehicle orders in the system.
- Project owner of order management and logistic systems for both regional office and importer network, providing support, direction and management as needed.
- Ongoing management and development of system sales processes to ensure all markets are ready and able to complete vital business functions (CRM systems, Warranty Systems, PPN, etc.)
- Creation and management of Dealer/Importer structure in PPN and Sales related systems.
- Communication with other teams regarding product launches and market events, system support, and cross-department planning.
- Oversee, review, and classify importer orders and monitor the progress of all vehicles along the entire value chain from order to delivery.
- Facilitate efficient processing, payments, and communication along the entire logistics chain from factory to markets for timely delivery in the markets.
- First level of support for all order management, logistic and payment related sales operations (Regional office, importer, dealer, and HQ communication).
- Aid in the planning of sales conferences and presentations as necessary.
QualificationsQualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree preferred in international business, logistics management, or other relevant field.
Experience:
- 2+ years working experience in multinational companies, luxury/automotive industries preferred.
- Operations and international business culture experience, with prior exposure to Latin America highly preferred.
Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective and clear expression of ideas and information, and maintaining strong rapport with stakeholders.
- Fluent in English and Spanish. Proficiency in German is an additional asset.
- Demonstrates adeptness in multitasking and project management, effectively handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously without constant supervision.
- Adaptable in setting and meeting strict deadlines, consistently delivering results within specified timeframes.
- Skilled in delivering compelling presentations and proficient in data management.
- Creative and analytical thinking skills.
- Computer proficient (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database software)
Percentage of required travel: 10%
The salary range for this role is $73,000-$83,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.
