Position overview

The Finance & Operations Intern is responsible for supporting the Finance and Operations teams in general project management, financial analysis, and operational tasks for Porsche Engineering Services North America. This is a cross-functional role that offers exposure to both operational workflows and financial processes within a global brand. The role is located in Los Angeles, CA and requires being in the office 5 days per week. It is a full-time internship. The hourly range for this role is $19/hr-$21/hr. 

 

Roles & responsibilities

 

Operations

  • Assist in general project management tasks, including tracking timelines, milestones, and deliverables
  • Support resource allocation efforts across operational projects
  • Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Excel, Power Point, etc.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions
  • Assist in vendor and supplier communication as needed

Finance

  • Assist the finance team with the preparation and organization of financial reports, summaries, and presentations
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of transactions
  • Assist in processing invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports in a timely manner
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities, including data entry and report preparation
  • Help prepare internal financial presentations for leadership review using Excel and PowerPoint

 

General

  • Available to work Monday – Friday, up to 40 hours per week, in office.
  • Ability to work overtime as required based on department needs

QualificationsQualifications

Education

Preferred Degree (or pursuant of): Bachelor’s or Master’s in Business or Finance fields. 

 

Qualifications 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to operate independently
  • Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality (integrity)
  • Teamwork – ability to positively interact with all levels of the organization
  • High quality standards and high accuracy
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Ability to commute to and from work independently
