AWS Platform Engineer - Senior Consultant (f/m/d)

• Design, develop, and enhance a cloud service broker for database lifecycle management
• Refactor an existing AWS-based broker to support multi-cloud capabilities (OCI, MongoDB)
• Implement infrastructure automation using Terraform
• Develop backend logic and integrations using Python, PySpark and JavaScript
• Enable self-service workflows for database provisioning and operations
• Collaborate closely with architects, platform teams, and customer stakeholders
• Contribute to defining architecture, requirements, and delivery roadmap 

Must haves:

• Strong experience with Terraform (infrastructure as code)
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark and/or JavaScript
• Solid background in cloud platforms, especially AWS
• Proven experience with database systems and concepts
• Experience with at least one of the following databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB
• Relevant experience with API-based service design and automation workflows

Nice-to-haves: 

• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) (can be learned on the project)
• Experience with AWS CDK (Infrastructure as code)
• Experience with Go or C
• Exposure to multi-cloud architectures
• Experience building or extending self-service platforms or service brokers
• Knowledge of database lifecycle automation (provisioning, patching, decommissioning)

Things to know before departure:

• Start: by arrangement -  always on the 1st and 15th of the month
• Working hours: full-time (40h); 27 vacation days
• Employment contract: CIM, Unlimited
• Line of work: Consulting
• Language skills: Fluency in written and spoken English; German is a plus
• Flexibility & willingness to travel for on-site assignments
• Other: a valid work permit
