GenAI/AI Engineer - Consultant/Senior Consultant (f/m/d)

• Design and implement backend services for Generative AI applications, including APIs, orchestration layers, integrations, and data processing pipelines.
• Build RAG-based solutions using document ingestion, text extraction, chunking, embeddings, vector databases, hybrid search, reranking, and LLM-based response generation.
• Develop agentic AI solutions, including tool-using agents, multi-agent workflows, task orchestration, memory, planning, and integration with enterprise systems.
• Implement AI assistants and copilots that connect to internal APIs, databases, document repositories, SharePoint, storage systems, knowledge bases, and enterprise applications.
• Use frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or similar to build GenAI workflows and agentic applications.
• Work with enterprise GenAI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Amazon Bedrock, and Azure AI Foundry.
• Evaluate GenAI applications for answer quality, retrieval quality, hallucination reduction, latency, cost, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and data teams to translate requirements into technical AI solutions.
• Contribute to reusable components, reference architectures, implementation standards, and best practices for GenAI delivery.
• Ensure solutions follow good practices regarding security, access control, data privacy, observability, testing, and maintainability.

Must-have:

• Strong backend development experience with Python, FastAPI, Node.js, Java, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with modern GenAI frameworks and orchestration tools such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, CrewAI, or comparable frameworks.
• Practical experience with at least one enterprise GenAI platform, such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Amazon Bedrock, or Azure AI Foundry.
• Solid understanding of core LLM and GenAI concepts, including prompting, embeddings, context management, tool calling, structured outputs, guardrails, and model evaluation.
• Experience designing and implementing RAG solutions, including document ingestion, chunking, vector search, hybrid search, reranking, source grounding, and citation-based responses.
• Experience building agentic AI applications, including function calling, workflow orchestration, multi-agent collaboration, planning, and memory.
• Experience developing APIs, microservices, and integration layers for AI-based applications.
• Familiarity with vector databases and search platforms such as Azure AI Search, Amazon OpenSearch, PostgreSQL/pgvector, or similar.
• Good software engineering practices, including Git, CI/CD, testing, logging, monitoring, documentation, and code quality.
• Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and evolve them toward production-ready implementations.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with LLMOps, including prompt/version management, evaluation pipelines, tracing, monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Deeper hands-on experience with Copilot Studio, Amazon Bedrock, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, or related enterprise GenAI services.
• Experience integrating GenAI solutions with enterprise knowledge sources such as SharePoint, Confluence, Jira, ServiceNow, CMS systems, or internal knowledge platforms.
• Understanding of AI governance, including data protection, access control, responsible AI, model risk, and compliance.
• Experience with cloud-native deployment and infrastructure tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or similar.
• Experience in consulting, technical discovery workshops, solution design, or enterprise project delivery.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, AI, Mathematics or a related field, is an advantage.
