SAP Basis Administrator - Consultant (f/m/d)

SAP Basis Operations

• Execute daily SAP Basis administration activities:
  • Monitoring, job management, dumps, locks, performance checks
• Support system lifecycle tasks:
  • Installations (SWPM), upgrades (SUM – guided), patching
• Perform client copies, transports, and system refreshes with supervision
• Assist in HANA database administration:
  • Backup checks, basic performance monitoring, alerts handling
• Use SAP tools (ST22, SM21, ST03N, DBACOCKPIT) for incident analysis
• Support TMS activities and transport coordination

SAP BTP Administration (Entry–Intermediate)

• Administer subaccounts, spaces, and basic entitlements
• Configure destinations and connectivity (Cloud Connector – assisted)
• Manage user access and role collections in BTP
• Support application deployments (Cloud Foundry basics)
• Monitor BTP services and integration flows (CPI/Integration Suite – basic)

Project & Support Delivery

• Contribute to technical documentation and runbooks
• Work within ticketing tools (ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.)
• Follow ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change

• 2–5 years of SAP Basis experience
• Exposure to S/4HANA (even limited) is highly valuable
• Initial experience in SAP BTP or cloud concepts

• Structured, reliable execution of assigned tasks
• Good attention to detail and documentation

Communication

• Able to interact with:
  • Senior consultants
  • Customers (guided communication)
• Provides clear status updates and escalates issues appropriately

• Willingness to learn:
  • S/4HANA and BTP rapidly
  • New tools and automation practices

• Works effectively in distributed/global teams
• Open to feedback and continuous improvement

Things to know before departure: 

• Start: by arrangement -  always on the 1st and 15th of the month
• Working hours: full-time (40h); 27 vacation days
• Employment contract: CIM, Unlimited
• Line of work: Consulting
• Language skills: Fluency in written and spoken English,  German is a plus
• Flexibility & willingness to travel
• Other: a valid work permit
