Position overview
PEUS Quality Engineers are responsible for identifying, assessing and managing root cause/corrective actions for technical issues requiring timely solutions for the field, thus ensuring successful completion of the global Porsche quality circle. Quality Engineering strives for timely issue resolution in the form of engineering changes, and/or the coordination of formally communicated measures for the Porsche Center network. Supporting the PEUS Quality Engineers, tasks involve working across all vehicle systems engineering disciplines to maintain continuous quality improvement.
The internship is expected to run from July 2026 through January 2027. This is a full-time, on-site internship requiring 40 hours per week. Interns are expected to work on-site five days per week. The hourly range for this role is $18/hr-$20/hr.
Roles & responsibilities
- Analyze Warranty Cases: Involves (1) Monitoring for frequent product quality issues, including issues that may lead to Lemon Law repurchases; (2) discovery of new product quality issues unknown to Porsche AG (PAG); (3) establishing a correlation of known product quality issues relevant to monthly vehicle repurchase cases; (4) gauging effectiveness of engineering solutions implemented in the market; (5) supporting the Technical Support Hotline and Field Technical Managers to resolve and mitigate cases requiring Engineering involvement.
- Lemon Law Repurchase Review: Technical review of repurchase cases and deeper investigation of repurchases initiated for technical reasons, in alignment with Customer Relations and Porsche Center teams. This information serves as an important quality metric.
- Data Acquisition and Analysis: Collecting ground truth data to assisting PAG development departments to understand issues, reducing the time associated with diagnosis and root cause analysis; Installing data acquisition equipment, writing appropriate configurations to capture data, and ensuring the recorded data is suitable for analysis through verification.
- Market-level Topic Management: In many instances, PAG requires collaboration with PEUS for quality topic investigation and countermeasure release. Resolution in concurrent engineering committees within development and analytical support often requires testing and analysis contribution from PEUS.

Qualifications of Iceal Candidate
- Completed, or in the process of completing requirements for an Engineering Degree (ABET accredited BSME or BSEE), with a hands-on technical background
- Theoretical and practical automotive knowledge across all vehicle engineering disciplines
- Experience with Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems for logging and analysis
- Knowledge of the German language and culture a plus
- Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork skills
- Technical writing skills
- Excellent investigation and problem-solving skills
- Able to learn new information quickly and to apply it as needed to their responsibilities
- Passion for performance and the Porsche brand
Physical requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
- While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment
