Position overview

This role supports the Sales Operations Department by managing the day-to-day operations of Porsche Cars North America's (PCNA) Pre-Owned business, serving as PCNA's functional expert and program owner for the reporting and compliance of the Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) program. The position provides operational input, market data, and reporting to inform short- and long-term CPO strategy for leadership review and approval and manages the supporting digital platforms (including Porsche Finder). It also serves as PCNA's day-to-day interface to the Porsche Center network and the field Area Pre-Owned Managers (APOMs).

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager and partnering with the field APOMs, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG (PAG), internal departments, and the Sales Operations team, the role works independently with minimal oversight to support the effective and compliant delivery of the Pre-Owned program across the network.

 

Roles & responsibilities

  • Provide operational input, market data, and reporting to inform short- and long-term CPO strategy and support the execution of approved plans in alignment with PCNA and PAG targets and objectives.
  • Serve as PCNA's functional expert and program owner for the Pre-Owned operations, providing guidance on complex CPO matters and supporting cross-departmental coordination where the programs affect other business units.
  • Administer and enforce CPO compliance standards; manage the program to established policies and procedures; supervise the CPO Compliance Program vendor; and oversee compliance audits executed by the Pre-Owned Business Analyst.
  • Provide functional guidance and support to the field APOMs on CPO policies, procedures, and day-to-day operations, enabling them to successfully manage the Porsche Centers in their network.
  • Coordinate and support CPO marketing activities, including campaigns, website content, point-of-sale materials, and merchandising standards across the Porsche Center network.
  • Maintain and administer CPO forecasting, analytics, and reporting, including pre-owned sales and inventory forecasts and key market data, and partner with Sales Analytics on standardized dashboards for Areas, Regions, and Porsche Centers.
  • Maintain the technical and functional integrity of Porsche Finder pre-owned inventory data and the IT systems supporting the CPO program, ensuring data accuracy, system performance, and a seamless user experience.
  • Administer relationships with pre-owned vendors, including performance management and contract-renewal preparation, coordinating procurement authorization with the Senior Manager at applicable spend thresholds.
  • Serve as operational liaison with PAG on U.S. pre-owned operations and coordinate pre-owned directives and support cross-departmental initiatives where they affect the Pre-Owned operations.
  • Coordinate the development of CPO training programs and materials for Porsche Center personnel and oversee internal ticketing and support for pre-owned products to ensure timely, accurate resolution of Porsche Center inquiries.
  • Provide oversight, development, and day-to-day direction for the Pre-Owned Business contractor, including onboarding, mentorship, and performance guidance.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Operations, or equivalent required.
  • Graduate degree or MBA preferred.

 

Experience (Job and Industry):

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience with a related Bachelor’s or Master's degree in automotive sales operations, pre-owned/remarketing, product or program management, or a related field, including program ownership and compliance responsibility.
  • Functional expert in CPO programs, with ownership of program compliance and day-to-day operations, providing recommendations and guidance to stakeholders on difficult, multi-faceted matters.
  • Experience developing and executing product or program strategy and translating it into executable policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Experience managing dealer-facing digital platforms and reporting/dashboards.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and program compliance or audit processes.
  • Automotive industry experience, preferably with a premium or luxury brand.

 

 

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of CPO programs, automotive retail, dealer compliance, audit and controls.
  • Strong strategic thinking, with the ability to translate business strategy into executable programs, policies, and measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to manage vendors, digital platforms, and cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Finance, IT, and field teams.
  • Advanced analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI or comparable business-intelligence tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for dealer communications, training materials, and executive presentations.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with sound judgment and a focus on accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The salary range for this role is $105,000-$125,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

Physical requirements

 

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
