Position overview

The Privacy Compliance Manager (PCM) will own and manage relevant strategic privacy compliance projects.  The PCM works closely with colleagues in Legal/Privacy and Information Technology and will serve as the subject matter expert on all legal compliance directives applicable to the privacy and management of personal data usage. This position will  implement, manage and coordinate all data privacy-related activities policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all aspects of applicable privacy laws as it relates to Porsche customer data and assist with projects in the assigned area(s) of responsibility to ensure compliance with personal data usage legislation.

Roles & responsibilities

  • Manage customer privacy compliance operations, including Data Subject Rights (DSR) requests, ensuring timely responses, adherence to applicable privacy regulations, and compliance with legal directives governing the use and protection of personal data.
  • Serve as the primary liaison, fostering cross-collaboration between departments, data governance, and information security teams. Document internal policies and procedures and provide recommendations for process improvements.
  • Work in conjunction with Legal/Privacy to ensure internal policies and procedures meet all compliance requirements and ensure preparedness protocols related to laws and regulations are in place.
  • Conduct internal audits to verify compliance, report and track data management activities, and maintain records of all data collection activities.
  • Support and optimize privacy program processes and reporting, including KPI tracking, audits, recordkeeping, privacy operations reporting, and the maintenance of privacy-related workflows and system processes within JIRA and other business platforms.
  • Contribute to the development and standardization of business processes to enhance Legal/Privacy compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Review and audit agreements with third-party partners and vendors to ensure adherence to applicable data privacy laws.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for privacy processes, providing guidance, training, and support to business unit data stewards, privacy coordinators, and other stakeholders while responding to privacy- and data security-related inquiries.
  • Assist in managing select projects, ensuring timely and effective execution.
  • Assist in coordinating and collecting documentation required for internal and external privacy audits and responses to data privacy authorities.

QualificationsQualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree management, business or a related field required  
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience (Project Management experience is a plus)
  • In-depth knowledge of CRM technologies, platforms, and databases required. Experience with SAP, Salesforce, or similar enterprise systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge of and experience with privacy and regulatory legal frameworks including CCPA/CPRA (CIPP certification is a plus)
  • Proven track record of successfully leading process improvement initiatives. 
  • Highly self-motivated, flexible self-starter who can quickly manage priorities to meet the demands of the job and be comfortable in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment; deliver quickly and adapt to changing demands
  • Well-organized, action-oriented team player with the ability to prioritize daily work, change directions quickly and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong project management and collaboration skills in cross-functional/global settings
  • Advanced MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and build consensus among stakeholders

 

Schedule/Shift: Hybrid, Monday-Friday

 

 

The salary range for this role is $95,000-$110,000. However, it is important to note that at Porsche, compensation range is dependent on geographic location. Individual salaries within each range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skillset. Porsche reviews compensation regularly and may adjust base salaries to reflect market competitiveness.

Physical requirements

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office environment.
